Those moments

When police sirens are not enough

Noise

Not enough chaos

To translate

     The horror

     The wreckage

     The murder

     The sorrow

That beckon them

The moment

When police sirens

Seem silent.

Too silent

Ringing upon deaf ears

Flashing upon blind eyes

Blind eyes which still seep

Tears

Uncontrollably

As death passes by

Silence is more than a death toll

It is a sign that mourning is to come.
