Lights

Your warmth is so far away
And my dew dropped lashes
Weave in a midnight cold breeze
My body wet from the death
Of a fairy’s love affair
My hands grasp at a world
So desperate to destroy me
And become icy
As my stomach heaves and
Insanity reels through my chest
Ordering for exhausted backup
Because we are all powerful
As we converge on our weakest moments
May someone save me sweetly
As I am afraid to save myself
On this quiet night
With a raindrop laying lifeless
On the pale, sickly skin
That was born to be enslaved
So desperate destroy
The life and love we once thought
Was a right
And in that blackness, my hand seeks the warmth
It is so close to me, yet,

Your warmth is so far away
